EPAM and N’Guessankro Montessori School: Transforming Rural Education in Côte d’Ivoire

EPAM (Ensemble Pour un Avenir Meilleur) is a nonprofit organization working to provide better opportunities for children in rural Côte d’Ivoire. Through EPAM’s action, the Montessori School of N’Guessankro has opened its doors, bringing innovative, child-centered education to disadvantaged children using the internationally recognized Montessori method.

Today, 65 students from the campement are welcomed at the school, supported through the training of local educators and partnerships with the Association Maria Montessori Côte d’Ivoire (AMMCI) and Ivory Montessori School in Abidjan. Our mission is to prevent dropouts, strengthen literacy, and guide each child toward independence.

As the holiday season approaches, EPAM hopes to bring joy to all 125 children living in N’Guessankro, whether they attend school or not. Throughout November, IMS will be collecting in-kind and cash donations as part of a special “Christmas tree” event. All gifts and meals collected will be distributed to brighten the festive season for every child in the campement, creating a memorable Christmas for all.
